My doctor is adorable and knowledgeable, which is what i care about. But as a bonus rest of the staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Needless to say that they are always ready to see a sick child but if the regular pediatrician is not available then they always suggest options where they will be available at their other locations.
I have been a patient of PNP for last 3 years or so and its gone down. Their doctors are very good. But their nurses are the worst. Had bad experience 2 times. First in the physical they couldn't draw my sons blood properly and pricked him so many times. Just went for flu shot and my son was little afraid for the shot and the nurse was in a hurry saying she has people waiting and she can't do it. This is ridiculous this is not some factory where you just prick them continuous. I am going change my doctor!
I was convinced my 5 year old daughter needed her appendix out- and was scared to death (and she was in a lot of pain). We weren't even patients at the practice yet (we moved here not long ago) but when I called at 8:30am they were able to get her in at 9:00am on that same day!! Then, after a great explanation by the doctor and a run down of the nearby hospitals, urgent cares, etc. we were sent home and given instructions of what to do and watch for. Dr. Shawn called to check in on us later that SAME day. I was still nervous that evening so they let us come BACK at 6:00pm to have another exam. I have never had this experience before. Turns out they were right and it was just an unusually painful virus. I have never felt so supported and well cared for. Kudos for making pediatric care what it should be- TLC for kids AND their worried parents.
The doctors are amazing. However, the nurses who answer calls for medical questions tend to be abrupt, condescending, and generally unhelpful.
They gave us incorrect information on our vaccine records that we received from them. It seems there may be an issue with their computer system or someone had made a human error. Overall we liked working with Dr. Kwong at this location. We felt she was very professional and knowledgeable.
