It's a beautiful place to relax, meditate, spend time with your fur baby in peace or just ride a bike...
If you're looking to relax and get in some fishing or just enjoy nature, then this is the place for you. Ron Tracy, author Flounder Bytes.
This is one of my normal places to do a nice long bike ride I generally go about 26 miles total from beginning to end. I prefer to use my mountain bike for this ride. Then I generally stop in Lahaska for lunch or for a quick snack... I have used this Trail all times during the year. I find that winter and summer are usually my favorite... Mother Nature has a tendency to tease me in the fall with heavy winds blowing on me as I am heading back to my car...
The Bike path is soooo nice. Not much around bring... your water / drinks as the stores are not easy to find. Perfect place for a picnic never too crowded. We normally bike from Somerset all the way to the Hills (about 60-70 km return) and stop at the Natural Food grocery grab something to eat and go back to the path and enjoy it! Great place!
The path between the Raritan river and canal is both long and scenic. I have many happy memories of cycling along the path with my family as a child to go along with the time I spend here as an adult running in this scenic setting. It seems to be a relatively peaceful and quiet trail all year round, giving a small piece of nature that can be enjoyed just outside of New Brunswick.
