I went to this health clinic for the first time and everything couldn't have gone better. There's actually two buildings, one in the front which I guess is a place for exams and checkups and the other on the side which is the office. If you're going here for the first time or you need anything, head straight into the office. There'll be someone to greet/help you. The office is nice and cozy, not as intimidating as I'd expected. There's couches, tables full of informative magazines/pamphlets/booklets, posters everywhere, and a water dispenser. Make sure to make an appointment with them first!! Just tell them your reason for calling and they'll try to find an appropriate time for you to visit. I called last minute requesting an emergency appointment at 4 and they happily let me come in at 4:15. They are opened on all weekdays but not on the weekends. Though, they do try to set up two Saturday openings every month. The prices here are pretty reasonable and low. If you can't make the full payment that following day, they'll work a payment plan with you where you can pay them little by little every month. They're very considerate and nice so don't worry about the billing. I went to get the morning after pill (Plan B One Step) and it costs $45 including the visit. I was speaking with one of the women and she told me that the Patch/Ring birth control methods are $18 each. I'm not sure about everything else but they have a price list so you can call for an estimate. Condoms are free and you're welcomed to take as many as you'd like. They keep a bunch of Trojans in a giant basket near the door. If you've never gone there, they'll make you fill out some paperwork first. HiTOPS offers a variety of services including counseling, screenings, support programs, STD testings, birth control, and much more. All of your information is kept confidential as part of their policy and if you need help, this is the place to get it. The whole atmosphere of their clinic made me feel less nervous and the practitioners there are understanding, as well as caring. Do not feel embarrassed to come here, your health comes first!! You can bring a friend like I did who can either wait in the waiting room or go with you into the private rooms. As I grow older, I'll make sure to support this organization first for their outstanding service. Thank you HiTOPS!
